Signposting to skin conditions

Eight million people in the UK suffer from a skin disease, from eczema and acne, to psoriasis and rosacea, with symptoms varying from person to person. Even mild symptoms can have a major impact on self esteem, so support for these patients is particularly important.

National Eczema Society provides independent practical advice about treating and managing eczema, and also raises awareness among healthcare professionals about the needs of eczema patients. The charity provides information, a quarterly magazine and a helpline. There is also a dedicated email and telephone helpline, and section of the website, for healthcare professionals, plus a programme of study days.
